Known for her energy on stage, this latin voice has a long career in singing, theater, and dance. The latter, through which she began her entry into the world of arts at the age of 12.
She has voiced in several projects such as Banda Atlântico, Big Band "Night and Day", Orquestra Zé Cabeleira (Casino Estoril), but her first encounter with Latin music was at the Salsa Latina bar, where she sang between 2001 and 2004. From this experience was born Cubahia, a band she directed that mixes Caribbean and Brazilian rhythms, and with which Celia Maria enchanted crowds all over the country between 2004 and 2006. This was followed by the Celia Maria Latin Project - whose show included an original repertoire, with some songs
of her own.
In between came the record project Cocktail K, a tribute band to the first Portuguese girl band, with strong inspiration in the pop sound of the 80's, and also the television program "Música no Ar" (Music on the Air), on RTP1, where Celia Maria interpreted some of the most important songs of the second half of the 20th century, from Amália to Madonna, including Abba and Elis Regina, among many others.
She has worked with several Portuguese light music artists. He has produced, voiced, and choreographed several shows.
In 2010 she participated in the Festival RTP da canção, with the group "OURO", with the theme - "Arco-iris dentro de mim" - by Paulo Abreu Lima, José Castanheira and Jan Van Dijck.
Two of the great passions that Celia Maria does not hide are dance and theater. A dancer by vocation, from street dance to contemporary dance, she fell in love with musical theater, with remarkable experiences in "Sexta Feira 13 - Xutos e Pontapés" (António Feio- UAU, 2006) and "Barbeiro de Sevilha" (Fernando Gomes,TIL, 2007/2008), Abecedário Mágico (João Didelet and Isabel Campêlo-Jis. 2009), Yoco na Ilha do Tesouro, by Ricardo Connti, among others.
For several years she was the voice of Carnaval de Sines, where she collaborated as author, composer and performer.
After a few years of absence from the stage Duolidades, Triflex & Ela Band are some of her latest entertainment projects.
BIG Gang is one of her projects of choice since 2014, where she is one of 5 guest voices.
In this project she shares her versatility in a mature way interpreting hits of various styles.
